ULN2803 8-Channel NPN Darlington Transistor Array IC

ULN2803 is a Darlington array IC. The device consists of eight NPN Darlington pairs that feature high-voltage outputs with common-cathode clamp diodes for switching inductive load. The collector-current rating of each Darlington pair is 500mA, but pairs may be connected in parallel for higher current capability. 

The device has 8 transistors in a single unit, so can drive 8 loads simultaneously. Each transistor in the array acts as an individual and can be triggered On and OFF individually. The IC can be used in programmable load sharing applications.
